Baker Hughes Rig Count

For last week:

U.S. Rig Count is down 3 from last week to 763 with oil rigs down 2 to 602, gas rigs down 1 to 158, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.
U.S. Rig Count is up 229 rigs from last year’s count of 533 with oil rigs up 169, gas rigs up 59, and miscellaneous up 1.
U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 3 to 13, up 2 year-over-year.

For last month:

International Rig Count is up 19 rigs from last month to 879 with land rigs up 10 to 660, offshore rights up 9 to 219.
The average U.S. Rig Count for September was 763 down 1 from last month’s count of 764 and up 255 year-over-year.
The Worldwide Rig Count for September was 1,853, up 28 from the 1,825 counted in August 2022, and up 405 from the 1,448 counted in September 2021.
