The IADD Mud Motor Forum will take place at the Oxy Woodlands Allison Tower. The Mud Motor Forum is part of the "Drilling Towards Performance. Steering Towards the Future" Series of events that are being scheduled in 2023.

Save the date for a Mud Motor Topical Forum!

This will be a three-part event in Houston on January 25th & 26th. Be sure to put it on your calendar, as we have some special attractions we won't want you to miss!

We have split this event into:

a mud motor class on the 25th
a drilling motors session and an exhibit/happy hour on the 26th.

We are grateful to have Oxy host day 2 of the event at their office in The Woodlands! We will also have a coil-tubing motors forum later in the spring - Mud Motors part II.

Baker Hughes Rig Count

For last week:

U.S. Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 784 with oil rigs unchanged at 627, gas rigs unchanged at 155, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.
U.S. Rig Count is up 215 rigs from last year’s count of 569 with oil rigs up 160, gas rigs up 53, and miscellaneous up 2.
U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 to 18, up 5 year-over-year.

For last month:

International Rig Count is down 1 rig from last month to 910 with land rigs unchanged at 688, offshore rigs down 1 to 222.
The average U.S. Rig Count for November was 779 up 11 from last month’s count of 768 and up 219 year-over-year.
The Worldwide Rig Count for November was 1,890, down 3 from the 1,893 counted in October 2022, and up 346 from the 1,544 counted in November 2021.
