Spring is coming here in Houston. The trees are starting to bloom, the weather is warming, change is in the air. The pace of change is evident in our industry as well. As our industry adapts to the changing seasons, it is important that we understand where the winds are heading.
We welcome two new board members to the IADD Houston Chapter Board of Directors. Kevin Keller and Ben Jones join a great group that keeps Houston humming. Again, the winds of change keep blowing. I want to thank our board members and volunteers who keep us moving.
We are entering a busy period with a number of forums and training classes. There are a lot of emerging technologies and techniques that are coming on the market. This month’s Mud Motor Forum & Exhibition incorporates a new format. There will be very few formal presentations, but the audience will have to opportunity to go through the exhibits and see for themselves
the latest and the greatest. We have a great lineup of companies that will be on display. Join us at a new venue, the Glade Cultural Center, as we provide the most comprehensive overview of motor technology and suppliers in the market.

Interactive RSS Selection Guide

The IADD has developed an Interactive Rotary Steerable Selection Guide.
This tool was demonstrated at the 2019 IADD Rotary Steerable Forum and Exhibition. The crowd was asked to define a particular type of rotary steerable they required. Within seconds of someone shouting out “Slimhole” and “High Temperature”, every qualifying system currently available was presented in an output table with their complete operational specifications and capabilities
listed.
The tool includes 68 unique systems from 15 different companies.
This tool will be highly utilized, giving you an opportunity for very high visibility with your target audience – internationally and domestically.

We are currently offering sponsorships in denominations
of $5,000 and $7,500.

- For $7,500, your logo will be significantly enlarged and featured under the heading of “Premium Sponsor”, and you will receive a dedicated tab/sheet on the online tool to post your own spec sheets, case histories, and other info.
If you have special conditions or need to defer to a later time (due to budgeting, for example), please contact David Gibson or Blaine Comeaux.
Over a 30-well campaign in Oklahoma, D-Tech Rotary Steerable helped the operator save $4.2 million by reducing downtime and improving overall drilling performance. Great partnership with Leam Drilling Systems LLC and Varel International Energy Services
to make this happen.
