The Annual Technical Forum will be virtual this year. We discussed several times last year how the Directional Driller, or “Well-bore Placement Specialist” is the person most responsible for impacting the production from a given well. We will be diving into four different topics – spread out over two days that will continue to emphasize that point and practical ways that we can come to grips with this as an industry. The first day will cover Well Bore Placement and its’ impact on the overall well delivery. The afternoon session will be on Well Bore Quality, and again it’s impact on production and the efficiency of the well construction process.Day two will explore the role of the Directional Driller and MWD personnel in Remote Operations. The afternoon session will be Drilling towards the Future. What do we need in the coming months and years (or should I say weeks and months?)
