The concept of “Faster-Deeper-Cheaper” is being questioned more and more in favor of a focus to generating value over the entire lifetime of the well.

The IADD has scheduled two events during 2020 to look at mission critical parameters for maximizing the economical success during the drilling and production phase of the well.

The first event will concentrate on understanding capacities and limitations of tubulars during wellbore placements. Original equipment providers and service companies are invited to share their respective technology and application considerations to produce success. We are excited to welcome the following presentations:

• Grand Prideco/NOV: Drill Pipe connections, grades, BSR, new developments and trends

• Tenaris: Casing tubulars, connections, grades, applications

• Carpenter Technology: Drill Collars, Materials, Subs, BSR’s, Placement

• TBA: Tubing for non conventional applications

All of the presentations will include considerations for non conventional applications such as high chlorides, extended laterals, pitting and corrosion resistance etc.

Due to the extraordinary circumstances the April event on the 24th will be conducted as a webinar. As many of us are working from home, we would like to provide an educational session about the main components used during well construction that will help the drilling and completion engineer in their daily work when interacting with suppliers and service companies.
