Four years ago, the IADD hosted its first Annual Technology Forum in Bastrop, Texas, featuring mud motors. Since that event, the industry has gone through numerous changes, but what hasn’t changed
is the backbone, perseverance and can-do attitude of the directional industry.
We’re seeing stronger, more powerful power sections; longer, more demanding laterals; greater ROP demands; and the need for more cost-effective drilling. All of these have shaped the state of the industry today.
Where do we go from here? Will the rotary steerable finally supplant the mud motor? Will longer lateral sections outstrip the ability for a motor to steer? Are there new developments that will change how we drill with motors?
Join us at the
2018 Annual Technology Forum, featuring mud motors, where you’ll hear from leading experts in this area as we discuss the above questions, as well as many other subjects. Prior to the forum, we will host a one-day training course on the fundamentals of mud motors, taught by Dr. Robello Samuel.
