With the ever-increasing demand to increase the efficiency of hydrocarbon production, operators are faced with the task to maximize the reservoir productivity. As the complexity of wellbore construction and associated demands for high
tech completions produce substantial challenges that require the deployment of innovative technologies and procedures.
Operators, service providers, and product manufacturers continuously cooperate to identify, develop, test, and deploy the systems that are suited to provide increased wellbore placement accuracy and quality to drill curves with consistent build rates and to extend the horizontal length of the production zone.
In order to be able to provide operators with capable solutions in a timely manner, it is vital for the industry to understand where the market is going, and what demands customers will put
on the service industry and equipment manufacturers in order to successfully reach their drilling and completion objective.
In order to provide a forum to share what it will take in the future to be successful, the IADD has dedicated it’s September 27th luncheon where a number of operators have the opportunity to share their respective vision.
The subjects that will be discussed may include the following: - Growth areas, activity levels, future rig count.
- Number of wells per pad, wellbore
spacing, formations, horizontal length.
- Engineering requirements such as well plans, static and dynamic BHA analyses, wellbore quality, survey accuracy, software capability.
- MWD system capability like Real-time measurements (Inc, Azi, Vibe etc.), Azi-Gamma, Resistivity, Data rate.
- Motor capability
- Rotary Steerable
Options
- Competency of Directional Drillers, MWD Operators, and Engineering support.

Donations Requested
Over the years, the IADD has partnered with Operation Military Embrace, Inc., (OME)—a Texas-based tax-exempt/non-profit 501(c)(3) military support organization that’s helps America’s seriously injured and ill Warriors and their families in their time of need—through the donation of cash and
household items (toys, kitchen items, linens, etc.).
This year, we’d like to invite attendees to
our Houston chapter luncheons to bring items (clothes, gift cards, food items, etc.), which will then be given to wounded service members at Camp Hope (Houston campus for the PTSD Foundation), as well as other private and VA facilities throughout the year.
