Please join us on April 26th to hear presentations and engage in a discussion of how rig surface equipment will influence and facilitate the directional drilling process and can be used to optimize drilling parameters for maximum drilling rate and wellbore positioning accuracy.
Software guided operations such as torque management, rocking the pipe, automatic feed off / Autodrillers, Rpm control, making connections, etc. will be presented. In addition, drilling optimization, the trouble shooting process, and remote monitoring will be discussed. The presentations are targeted for about 20 minutes followed by Q&A. Subsequently we will open the discussion to summarize where on a technological, competency, and capability level the industry operates and more
importantly identify the mission critical elements to improve the construction of wellbores with focusing on high inclined and horizontal wells.
The ultimate deliverable for the event is to identify needed process and technology development to fill the gaps that may exist today. As always, the target of the IADD is to bring industry professionals, students, and anyone who is interested together to share their experiences, and viewpoints to help define the path forward and to provide a great learning opportunity for all attendees. The Luncheon will be held at Southwestern Energy Headquarters
– 10000 Energy Drive-Spring-TX 77389. The meeting will start at 10:30. Please follow the signs that will direct you to the SWN parking garage. Make sure you obey the speed limit (10 MPH) and as a courtesy to the SWN employees please park at the less frequented levels 4 and higher. We are excited to meet you on the 26th.

Over the years, the IADD has partnered with Operation Military
Embrace, Inc., (OME)—a Texas-based tax-exempt/non-profit 501(c)(3) military support organization that’s helps America’s seriously injured and ill Warriors and their families in their time of need—through the donation of cash and household items (toys, kitchen items, linens, etc.).
This year, we’d like to invite attendees to our Houston chapter luncheons to bring items (clothes, gift cards, food items, etc.), which will then be given to wounded service members at Camp Hope (Houston campus for the PTSD Foundation), as well as other private and VA facilities throughout the year.
For a list of what is needed, click here. For information on OME, go to http://www.operationmilitaryembrace.com/.
