As we are just coming off the Memorial Day Weekend, many people are returning from some time off and maybe even a little vacation. The roads have been packed with cars carrying bikes, kayaks, and other assorted outdoor gear. Graduation parties are going on and people are enjoying getting together again. I attended an event at Honor Café where the speaker was Lt. General Steve Hummer (ret.). He
heads up an organization called Combined Arms that works with veterans in getting into the workplace. This with the holiday got me thinking. We have many in our industry that have served and lost comrades in arms. As our industry recovers, let us not lose sight of those who have given the last measure to secure our freedoms.
We will have our first Profile in Technology™ broadcast on Tuesday, June 8. Make sure to join us as we explore what Hardide is doing in the coatings’ world. If you have a new (or existing) technology and would like to showcase it, let us know and we will get you scheduled.
Our annual Golf Tournament was rained out and has been rescheduled for Monday, June 21st. Hopefully, the rain abates in Houston by then.
Staying ahead of the curve requires knowledge, foresight, and patience. Our industry has historically been very resilient and resourceful. These times have tested our resolve, but there are signs of recovery. Let us stick together and see our way through this.
